If you are a rising senior in Orange County, California, you are well aware all your hard work is almost done. This Spring, you find yourself about to enter the homestretch of your journey to adulthood and college. Amidst all the final Junior activities, and saying goodbye to your current graduating classmates, you might suddenly be a bit overwhelmed with upcoming your to-do list.
So, if you are wondering when to you should schedule your senior pictures for all those submissions deadlines - I gotcha covered! The ideal preference is definitely SUMMER. Hear me out....
After years of photographing high school seniors all over the US, here are 5 valid reasons you should go ahead and reserve your session for Summer now!
Reason 1: Performing Arts and Athletics! If you participate in sports or performing arts programs, such as theatre - they often fill up your schedule as soon as school starts.
Reason 2: The start of school and ALLLL those senior activities and obligations and meetings in addition to homework start to command a lot of your time and energy. Do it now while you can relax.
Reason 3: College apps are due around Thanksgiving….they will haunt your entire Autumn season and so will your parents (until they are done).
Reason 4: And this is my favorite! Summer is when you have the freedom to plan and prep for your session, and genuinely enjoy this special day of celebrating YOU! I design and prep an amazing experience for you, and you are definitely going to want to be present! Not to mention...Daylight Savings Time is on our side!
Which brings me to Reason 5: You are already rocking that gorgeous natural sun-kissed skin that looks so warm and glowy in your pictures! I mean… you’ve been working on that tan since Spring Break, amiright?
While this all makes Summer the number one winner without a doubt - that's just a timing challenge!
The MOST important time to plan your session with me, is when you feel it's YOUR best season - because, more than anything - I want your session to be all about YOU and your rock-star day of celebration and I want you to be and feel PRESENT to enjoy it!
This is a really special senior event that is meant to be experienced as an empowering celebration of you. Making it a Summer session does truly take the school-year stress away from squeezing into your schedule, (plus, you will have your pictures to show off all year long).
