Please reschedule if you have fever or feel ill or have been ill within the last 7 days (see list of symptoms below). We are a high risk household and work in areas within our home to save on overhead costs. We take precautions seriously and follow all CDC guidelines. Please respect our wishes to protect our high-risk family members. There is no cost to reschedule due to a contagious illness.

 

Sanitary Workspace 

 

Please bring your own personal mask with you for use throughout the day. If you don't have one, we can provide one for you. 

 

All workstation surfaces will be disinfected between clients. This includes doors, knobs, work surfaces, bathroom, changing areas, car surfaces, and any areas anticipated that clients may be coming in contact with. 

 

We will carry antiviral/antibacterial sanitizer and wipes during session prep and during photoshoot for use at appropriate times ie: after touching unsanitized surfaces in public places, restroom use, etc. 

 

Personal Styling

How we offer the option of safe styling here, during a pandemic, or if you are ill when it is time to style for you future session:  in one appointment (masking required of all participants) - windows/doors open to fresh air - or I can style you via facetime or skype with two appointments. 

 

Our virtual styling consists of 2 appointments: one video chat to talk about your favorite styles and shoot ideas, as we build your style box. Clients then come to us to retrieve their style box, take them home, and try them all on to select their favorites and mix/match with their own clothing, if desired. Then we have another video appointment to complete the chosen outfits before you bring the box back to us. It's a little more involved, but keeps keeps us from being enclosed together. 

 

 

Hair and Makeup Application

 

During a pandemic: For clients who are high-risk or uneasy with in-person makeup application, at this time we provide a makeup artist that offers online, one-on-one, personalized makeup tutorials in advance of session. This would replace a face-to-face makeup application on day of session. 

 

For those getting makeup application at our location, or at their home, IF REQUESTED, the professional makeup artist will wear a mask at all times during in-person application of makeup and hair styling as well as while they are not able to maintain 6 feet distance. 

 

The professional makeup artist already takes proper sanitizing precautions for all makeup application and hair styling methods, tools, and palettes. These sanitary practices have been in place as long as they have been in business and were already required by law. 

 

For those choosing the online makeup tutorial option, while purchasing a Platinum Session, they will be offered an extra hour of photography to allow time for their own touchups between sets. 

 

Photoshoots

 

During pandemic or illness, the option to ride in separate cars will be available, to minimize contact, if desired. 

 

When choosing to ride in vehicles together, all present will wear masks to prevent spread of disease from possible asymptomatic viral shedding - “asymptomatic” meaning: if one of us had no physical symptoms or known exposure, yet was still unknowingly carrying and shedding a virus at the time of session date. 

 

Photography will take place 6 feet + away from subject, using longer lenses to minimize contact. Photographer and all assisting will wear a mask when closer than 6 feet. You will not notice any difference in my work at all, as most of my work is already shot this way! 

 

Gallery Reveal Appointments

 

At the time of a pandemic or illness, for the safety of all, and to minimize exposure in our home and yours, we are conducting Gallery Reveal Parties online via Skype or Zoom share-screen technology. 

 

This means you can have any guests your family feels safe around in your own home, to share in seeing your images for the first time! 

 

Everything is conducted the same way it is done here at our studio. If you would like an appt to view albums and wall art and other products prior to Reveal Night, please arrange in advance so you know what you are interested in and what the quality of these items are like before it is time to make decisions. Otherwise you will be shown these items in person on shoot day.
